First and foremost.  I am a person.

I have a lot of different responsibilities based on the things I have committed to.  Therefore, I form an identification with the roles I am put in.

That makes me a mom, a wife, an engineer, a researcher, a student, a daughter, a friend, and many others.

What I’ve learned in each of these roles is that the following is true in each domain:

1.      I make mistakes.

2.      I apologize for my mistakes.

3.      I try to correct my mistakes.

4.      I learn from my mistakes.

5.      I try again.

This philosophy has been significantly important in my roles as an engineer and a mom.
